The Blythweb Calendar publicises events open to the public which are taking place in the general area of the Blyth Valley in north-east Suffolk and occasionally also in the wider area. These events include those held in support of local and UK charities, organisations, good causes etc., which we are pleased to freely publicise. Southwold Library Treasure Hunt around Southwold

From 1st March, and in celebration of Suffolk Libraries Day, our fun Treasure Hunt leads you on a circular walk around Southwold as part of your daily exercise. Available from 1st March. Solve the clues to uncover our hidden message. Fun for all ages. Completed hunts to be returned by 5pm Saturday 20th March. First prize : Adnams vouchers!

Southwold Library Virtual Pet Show

From 1st March for £2 you can enter your pet in our Virtual Pet Show as many categories as many times and with as many photos as you like.
The categories are:
Happiest pet
Hungriest pet
Dapperest pet
Grumpiest pet
Sleepiest pet
You will be able to email in your photos or drop in any physical prints to Southwold Library. The winners will be decided on Suffolk Libraries Day, Saturday 20th March. The winner of each category will receive a £10 voucher for the Fisherman and Friends pet and fishing shop.
