on Friday, 14th December 2018
Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
Director Ol Parker. 2018, USA, 114 mins, with Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Lily James. A decade after the original block-busting original (the only time we sold out for a movie at The Cut!) here is the sequel you've all been waiting for. We're back on that idyllic Greek island, the wonderful song and dance routines come thick and fast, the plot is satisfyingly ludicrous, it's gorgeous to look at and the splendid cast are all having the time of their lives. If this doesn't cheer you up, nothing will.
