The Blythweb Calendar publicises events open to the public which are taking place in the general area of the Blyth Valley in north-east Suffolk and occasionally also in the wider area. These events include those held in support of local and UK charities, organisations, good causes etc., which we are pleased to freely publicise. The Blythweb Calendar also features other events of interest.

Venue: The Cut Arts Centre, Halesworth IP19 8BY link
An illustrated talk, with Julia Blackburn and Hugh Brody. In 2015 Waveney & Blyth Arts (WBA) presented its project about Doggerland at The Cut. Now the internationally acclaimed local author Julia Blackburn will discuss her new book about this lost land. Like her other books, Time Song mixes fragments from her own life with ‘songs’ and stories about the places and the people she encounters as she approaches an understanding of Doggerland.
With Julia Blackburn in this latest of WBA’s Thrillling Thursdays will be the renowned anthropologist Hugh Brody. He will present a film about the Canadian Inuits, whose lives relate to the Mesolithic hunter gatherers in Doggerland 7,000 years ago. **Optional lunch at The Cut café £5**
Ticket Details: Standard ticket £10, Waveney & Blyth Arts Members £8
