The Blythweb Calendar publicises events open to the public which are taking place in the general area of the
Blyth Valley in north-east Suffolk and occasionally also in the wider area. These events include those held in
support of local and UK charities, organisations, good causes etc., which we are pleased to freely publicise.

Blyth Poets “The isle is full of voices”

A poetry group meeting at Southwold Library taking place the first Friday every month. All welcome to read or just listen. Contributions invited of original work or well-loved poems. Refreshment break in The Canteen.

Presented by Troubadour Stageworks. Come on an adventure full of music and myth as Odysseus explains why it took him over a decade to get home, and his wife, Penelope, tells him how she held Ithaca together in his absence. Running time: 1 hour 15 minutes, including a 20 minute interval. Suitable for all ages.

This musical drama of forbidden love, presented as a collaboration between Open Space and Syzwell Gap folk band, is based on a centuries-old Suffolk folk myth.
