A Series of Art & Literature Lectures at St.Mary's church, Walpole

This evening we present the second of a series of four lectures given by author and art historian John-Paul Stonard, who will draw out the overarching themes of his book 'Creation: Art Since the Beginning' - a Sunday Times Art Book of the Year. This tells the extraordinary story of how people all over the globe, from prehistory to the present day, have created images in order to understand the world they inhabit. A comprehensive and exhilarating introduction to world art. Remaining lecture dates are Thursdays 17th November and 1st December, all at 7pm. Special fee for all lectures, or just attend individual ones. Refreshments available. Parking in field opposite. Proceeds in aid of the church Restoration Fund.

Voguely Speaking, with Alexandra Shulman

Alexandra Shulman CBE, longest serving editor of Vogue, will be talking about her time at the iconic magazine (1992-2017), her popular newspaper columns as well as the fiction and factual books she has written over the years.
As a keen Vogue fan Abbie Clements decided to celebrate owning The Halesworth Bookshop for five years by combining her love of Vogue and that of books by organising this event and will have a selection of Alexandra's books on sale.
