Heavy Metal Weekend

– 16:00 on Saturday, 1st April 2023
Venue: Village Hall, Bungay Road, Holton, Halesworth IP19 link
Taking place on 1st April 9am-4pm and 2nd April 9am-1pm. Avoid a trip to the dump by locally recycling scrap metal. Please bring along all your unwanted metal items. You are doing your bit for the planet and supporting the local 'Pear Tree Fund’. PLEASE NOTE THAT Fridges, Freezers, TVs, Gas Cylinders or items that do not contain metal CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

Halesworth Day of Dance

on Saturday, 1st April 2023
Venue: Halesworth - various venues link
Dancers and musicians will be in Halesworth today to celebrate colourful traditional dance such as Morris Dancing and Molly Dancing. Commencing 11am in the Market Place, dancers will process around the town, including outside The Angel and White Hart in Thoroughfare and The White Swan in London Road opposite the church. Later there will be a Ceilidh in The Rifle Hall, with the Harbour Lights Band.

Open Afternoon at Thorington Church

With tea, coffee, and delicious homemade cakes. Come and see this wonderful church and churchyard, which hopefully will be full of flowers. Off-road parking.

Bangers & Mash Supper, with Charlie Haylock

He helped with the film The Dig, about Sutton Hoo’s wonderful longboat and treasure, making sure all Suffolk accents were correct. He will talk about the filming, Ralf Fiennes and other stars of the hit film. Bar. Bookings and payment in advance. All Welcome. Event in aid of Holton & Blyford Village Hall.
