story of an almost perfectly conceived crime, set in the grimy
environs of Kings Cross.
5pm WHISKY GALORE (U). 1949. 82mins.
A cargo ship loaded with whisky runs aground near a Scottish
island much distressed by an absence of suitable restoratives.

7:30pm THE LAVENDER HILL
MOB (U). 1951. 78mins. Alec Guinness, a meek bank clerk, and
an eccentric confederate (Stanley Holloway) plan a gold
